FLOODING RUINS MOTHER-CHILD WING OF COVENANT HOUSE
-A local non-profit organization needs your help Monday as an entire department of its facility is ruined.
The Covenant House of Atlantic City experienced a water pipe break Monday, flooding the mother-child wing of the house.
Important items, such as diapers, formula, and carpets were all lost due to water damage, “It’s just our passion, our mission to help kids who are living underneath the boardwalk, in abandoned buildings. And we’re taking 55 kids off the street every night and we’re housing them here. Unfortunately, we had this accident today. But we are still going to help,” said Brian Nelson, site director of the Covenant House.
